Manolo Blahnik does Clear Heels

April 10, 2007 by Designer Ella

Manolo Blahnik Lucite Sandal

Usually the designer to stick with the most sophisticated shapes and styles even in the face of what’s trendiest, Manolo Blahnik has now made shoes (shown here: his Lucite Sandal) with see-through plastic aspects.

I hate clear heels. But can Manolo Blahnik class them up? Or is this the designer sinking into sell-out-trendiness, while making bad shoes (although with probably better quality than others)?

Ugly. And won’t your feet do that nasty “flesh against plastic” thing? double ugly.

I agree with scarlettholly. The flesh against plastic thing is horrible! and it’s completely unavoidable, so dont try.

ew. clear plastic and or lucite always says cheap to me. i don’t care how hard designers are trying to bring it back, this look belongs on a street corner.

These shoes are clearly from Manolo Blahnik’s “Washed Up Stripper” line.
