Stuart Weitzman - Monday Designer
March 13, 2006 at 6:20 pm by Designer EllaStuart Weitzman is known by the insiders and big-shots for making ornate and well-fitted shoes for each year’s Oscars ceremony. For four years running, he has created one sole, special pair to be worn by a specially chosen star. Read about this year, here.
But better news for us is that dear Stu (can I call him that? 0:-)) makes medium-priced versions that are still chic, usually in the $200-$300 range. With his knowledge of fitting the foot, these shoes might be worth it!
I even found one silver strappy evening sandal that I might wear in my cousin’s wedding! It’s below $200 and going fast. If the size combo left doesn’t work, I have some months to stalk the selection. The bride suggested we buy the shoes from Payless? Bah! We have lilac (not my color) dresses, but are told to wear silver shoes. Well, my darlings, silver means I can wear them again! I’m going for nice, but it is a wedding, so I stress comfort.
Yes, the reviews of Stuart Weitzman shoes at Zappos.com are all praising. And there are a range from basic to va-fa-fa-fabulous! like these black crystal-encrusted sandals named Concerto. Though these, my dears, of course cost more at nearly $400. Still a deal, comparable to some, I’d say! Look at the babies (above, large)!
