Clarks Twill Review: Comfortable Espadrille

March 31, 2006 by Designer Ella

Clarks Twill

What first caught my eye about these low-heeled wedges was the multi-brown pair. I did order the “black” (more dark brown) though because they were running out of sizes. I love them, too. And the 2 1/2″ heel is really great because there is a platform to lessen the feeling. They are really so comfortable, by a new Clarks brand called Artisan, with a padded heel.

They do start to hurt during a lo-hot of walking, especially with the friction from the toe to the leather sole (and the straps, at first). But I still can’t wait to wear them again in shorter distances.

Adventures On Location in Luxury

March 29, 2006 by Designer Ella

While on vacation, I went to the finest malls and stores in South Florida. Oh, yes.

South Florida Malls

  • Burberry: First was the outlet, which had great prices. I’ll be back!
  • Burberry: The retail store had all of the new check-piping bags … and I saw my favorite Cinda!!!
  • COACH: The Factory Store had two bags I already bought on eBay (pebbled leather satchels) but they were more expensive there! I lucked out.
  • COACH: The retail store started their preferred customer sale that day, and I went to town (center) … actually, I went full on crazy. I preordered a bag at which I was lucky to sneak an early peak (and got a few small items) and I’m sure I spent over an hour there total comparing and analyzing the goods. My mums even bought a bag!
  • Louis Vuitton. Was scary. The workers wore suits … or were those security guards? I wasn’t brave enough to venture into the trés-by-a-million expensive store, this visit. BUT! I did spy those lovely new monogram Onatah suede bags! Squeal.

All this was at the Colonnade Outlets at Sawgrass Mills and the Town Center at Boca Raton.

It was a nice vacation and I did a couple other things beside visit malls. There was … one day I didn’t shop at all!!!

Bare Escentuals On Your Toes Minty Foot Gel

March 25, 2006 by Mallory Road

Bare Escentuals Minty Foot Gel
Our feet work all day long, so they deserve to be pampered! Bare Escentuals (makers of my favorite makeup) has a line of products for your feet appropriately named “Bare Feet.” Last weekend, I picked up their Minty Foot Gel and it’s so refreshing. The minty smell is perfect—not too overpowering like some can be and it’s only $12! It’s a great pick-me-up after a long day. Also, check out their Gone To Heaven Foot Soak and their Well-Heeled Foot Polishing Scrub. Now is the perfect time to start prepping your feet for the not-too-far-off sandal season.

Steve Madden Nadinee Review

March 24, 2006 by Designer Ella

Steve Madden - Nadinee (Brown) - Women's

Steve Madden Nadinee is the sexiest shoe I’ve had on my feet in a long time. And it’s practically flat. It has the hot peep toe and wooden wedge. Trendy and chic. Perfect?

Unfortunately, it’s a little rough around the edges. As in hard edges that poke my feet. They’re not the most comfortable.

I have this lovely picture to keep of one shoe on my foot, but unfortunately, these must be returned to Zappos.

Michael Kors Greenwich Kitten Mule

March 23, 2006 by Mallory Road

MICHAEL by Michael Kors - Greenwich Kitten Mule (Luggage) - Women's

Kitten-heeled shoes are my favorites, but sometimes finding affordable ones that look nice can be difficult. I either find a gorgeous pair that’s way too expensive or a less expensive pair that’s just plain ugly or looks cheap—definitely a no-no. Kitten heels are great because they’re comfortable to walk in, but still provide a bit of height to help elongate the look of the leg—always a plus! This pair by Michael Kors is only $122.95 and is also available in black. The linen and leather are accented with silver hardware and the heel height is 1.25″—I know I could find lots of places to walk in these!

Nanette Lepore Floral Dress

March 22, 2006 by Mallory Road

Nanette Lepore Silk Dress
Ella asked me to guest post this week and I am more than happy to oblige. As much as I love posting about handbags over at Pursed Lips, I also love clothes, shoes, jewelry, makeup—you get the picture.

This week came the official arrival of spring—the spring equinox anyway, even if spring weather didn’t make it in some places. Regardless of the temperature, it doesn’t stop me from dreaming about gorgeous spring dresses, especially ones that would make perfect Easter attire. Even though I’m 20-something, I still have the need to get a brand-new outfit like I did when I was a little girl every Easter.

Since the holiday is only a few weeks away, I really need to start considering my options. This floral dress would be perfect! Yes, I adore clothing by Nanette Lepore, but besides that, the colors on this silk dress are beautiful, it has a belted waist, full skirt and cute short sleeves.
