Valentino’s Spring Couture 2006 collection was classically beautiful and perfectly fine from far away. But, baby, there was so much more in the details.

1. Polka dots in genuine couture means a drooling Ella. 2. Fine flowers were sewn onto finer fabrics. 3. Mixing textured “prints.” 4. Every line needs fabulous belted waists. 5. Pretty purses and princess sandals.

Pajamas Media is covering the more political blog entries on style during Fashion Week (v. NYC). That’s not the news, though (I mean it’s nice to see a showcase of very interesting fashion articles in one spot): what brings me to posting is this: To fit “in,” they’ve dressed up with a leopard printed robe.

It tickles me, is all. And a confession? I have leopard print pajamas, and sometimes … I do blog in them.

I love dressing up like I’m going to an office (and I certainly like to look presentable for when the mailman delivers all my packages) but it detracts from the hard work, sometimes.

In this medium, comfortableness leads to productivity. I admit it.

And this medium leads to laziness. (And I’m a bit too comfortable with that.)

Nanette Lepore has started her own daily journal on Glam.com. The designer, herself, is currently blogging live from Fashion Week. She is now preparing for her show. I’m very interested in seeing what she writes as time goes on, it’s especially exciting with its “daily” promise.
