BCBG Max Azria Show - Thoughts
September 8, 2006 by Designer EllaWelcome to New York Fashion Week, Spring 2007! (It is Friday, September 8th, 2006.)
As you may see, the BCBG Max Azria show used a caricature of Spring fashion. All romance, lightness and what high design “is supposed to” be. No separates or variations. Hardly a solid. … In keeping with the trends of past seasons, the design brand did not take risks, and it also makes me yawn.
From the shows earlier (than this) in the day, I saw even more bland, monotone fashions (and too much menswear pour moi). At least this show had some frill and play!
More to come (including the “Best of” BCBG Max Azria, next).
Here are just some thoughts that amused me …

“I had nothing to wear, so I created this fantastic blanket evening dress. (But something about it makes me angry. Rarr.)”

Don’t forget those shorts! (Do they come free?)

Stevie Nix meets, well, pretty.

Fly, my playful child of yesteryear.

Sweet lingerie for a flowery day.

“I did just get out of bed. Yes, I had turbulent nightmares.”
