This week’s Carnivale of Couture is hosted by the eager Style Graduate, and her question is quite tough, indeed:

I want to know what runway look you would wear as a Halloween costume.

This is so tough that I let it sit for days, and am not writing this entry until the wee hours of already-Monday!

I thought of going with last year’s 50’s housewife, but I’d probably have a look envisioned that could not be matched. And what I’m thinking for this upcoming October 31st is 50’s TV Housewife, in all greyscale, including body makeup (it’s an idea). Well, that won’t be found!

So I just decided to go through my Style.com “LookBook” and find something with a costume-like flair!

What better for a fashionable holiday than the super fabulous-looking Scarlett O’Hara!

Of course, this begs for jokes about Lil’ Bo Peep, just as much as it begs for a parasol. But isn’t this gown just lovely? And Halloween is practically the only occasion to wear such an extravagant style.
