Lingerie for Mother’s Day? Scary Message (to me)
May 8, 2006 by Designer EllaI got an ad in an e-mail for lingerie to give a mother for Mother’s Day. At first, I was blankly puzzled. Why give your mom lingerie? That’s sick. Then I realized that there are husbands. Oh, yeah. Those are necessary (well, no, but fathers are).
Bittersweet Butterfly, at Butterfly Flowers LA.com supplies two “main” needs of women for romantic or feminine occasions: flowers and lingerie. They even put together baskets with flowers and lingerie, together. Interesting concept.
Their “Bittersweet Lingerie” line offers feminine and pretty styles. Thank goodness someone is selling lingerie to women, not for men only.
One request from moi, though: just don’t use the term sexy related to mothers. I don’t want reminders of how people become parents. Or of how I got to be here. Yes, yes, I know—but still.
To treat a special woman in your life (I suggest you be a romantic partner, if going with lingerie), call 1-323-660-4303 (with a spoken- Kiss Me, Stace discount code: “Kiss your Mom” for 15% off non-sale merchandise) or visit their Silverlake, CA boutique!
