Where Was DKNY?
February 7, 2006 by Designer EllaA Fashion Week show almost completely skippable for review, to me, was Donna Karen’s DKNY. Where was Donna Karen, where was DKNY? Where was the style? The show was the fashion equivalent of a mime on a street, no words to speak to me.

Nearly everything was almost entirely black, with many outfits having a highlighter-yellow accent, which didn’t work for flair. The thumbnails on Style.com don’t inspire excitement to view one piece larger, and even viewing the large slideshow, I felt like I was going to fall off my chair, asleep. I’m sorry that I can’t give this more of a chance, but I’m not sorry to be honest. I don’t need exciting, bold colors, but this girl can’t deal with so much black. Who’s eyes can make out shapes amidst the void, especially when the repetition blurs them to temporary blindness. I need some Verrier to refresh myself.
