Boots: Why High? The Lowdown

Why we like flats, but need our boots high:
Aside from many women’s preference for a height boost, it’s about visual interest. Usually boots are plain around the actual foot area; the heel adds some contrast. This is also why we loooove wedge boots (in a contrasting heel color)! Boots risk looking chunky without heels, also, because there is just so much material on a boot.
Flats are super smart-chic and retro-mod, yet of course, practical. They’re definitely good looking footwear, partly because they can be detailed–or in some rockin’ hot color. They’re best when dainty—strike that, they’re only appropriate when dainty.
Be a Fabulista and only get high on footwear, choose the right shoes and come down soft and satisfied.
