Manolo Blahnik is a fine Italian shoe-master. He makes fabulous many sorts of, not only styles, but textures, from fine genuine animal skin, to whimsical prints. Many Blahnik shoes are made of alligator skin, not crocodile, and certainly not moc-croc. It’s just one thing that sets the designer apart. For this fall, there are a few mink-trimmed shoes, all extravagant, and not something we endorse, but must feature for education. Hair-calf is a furry textured calfskin, and something exquisite to use on a shoe, even if it’s on this questionable green style.
The designer uses jewels sparingly, but one can see them scattered throughout the selection, what else could a fine shoe-maker do?
Finally, there are prints on fabric, such as the ever present, popular, and wealth-and-whim-proclaiming animal print, leopard. To ring in studious fall correctly, there is a season favorite; plaid. Manolo does timeless yearly-trends and breakthrough quality.
