Feed Your Mouths
July 10, 2005 at 12:42 pm by Designer EllaI’ve corrected the RSS feeds (syndication) problems that had to do with Word Press 1.5 errors. I was then able to set up feeds at third party websites, like FeedBurner. I’ve added these services to the other 2 of our current blogs, Pursed Lips (feed) and High-Fashion High (feed). From FeedBurner, or from the menu at the bottom right of each blog, you can also subscribe to Bloglines, My Yahoo!, My MSN, and more!
What these services do is add all of your favorite blog entries into one place, minus the design, for easy reading and so you can tell when one is updated. With BlogLines, you can use a “bookmarklet” to add any blog you’re currently visiting to your list. But with FeedBurner, you can view media that comes with posts, like pictures! (if the blogger so wishes). The drawback for me is the big “feature” of the lack of each website’s personalized layout, but not everybody feels the same way.
