I found the perfect Manolo for me. A classic black pump, with a mid heel. Alas, it is, of course, over $500. The Suede d’Orsay is cute, classic, elegant, well crafted, and with a 2 1/4 heel, it is not doomed to injure poor fabulous feet.

Of course, there is the pricetag. Considering that it not only goes over my budget, but would leave me with no money left (not to go into details), I cannot buy this shoe in my current financial state. Newly added to online stores are Manolo Blahnik flats. Yes, flats; not 2″ heels, nor kitten heels, but flats.

Some styles are dowdy and too boring, but this Ruched Skimmer is so much of a favorite that I drastically wish I could own it. It’s slim shape, subtle point, and - most importantly - the ruched black leather, make this shoe everlastingly stylish. Not only is this shoe classic, but it’s for ladies of any age; from coming-of-maturity to the elderly years. This napa leather shoe would be a great investment for any woman.

For a little bit more whimsy, check out the Animal-Print skimmer. It’s a fun shoe, but I think such wild styles should be on fabulous pumps.

I was too busy with college finals to post my Manolo Blahnik of the Week twice in a row. So this week, I’m posting three Manolos, consecutively.

New Mary Jane styles were added to Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman. What can I say about these adorable Mary Janes? I can tell you something about Manolo, the Mary Janes, while more sophisticated than most of the style, are only small glimpses into Blahnik’s classic and very signature designing. There are so many shoes (many new ones!) to explore, before I finalize this series (weeks to come, yet). As a climax, I will attempt to fully examine his style, and we will hopefully be knowledgeable and able to spot his style from a mile away.

As for these, the Patent Leather Mary Jane and the Perforated Mary Jane (in exquisitely detailed beige patent leather), while showing new versions of Manolo MJ’s, also display his classic take on the shoe, which creates the perfect Mary Jane for the adult lady, and the perfect pump for the youthful woman. - If you can stand to walk on stiletto heels.
