Manolo Blahnik of the Week: # 2

I’m mesmerized by Manolo Blahnik’s drawings. On Style.com, you can actually see the transformation from the fairy tale of the illustrations to the actual shoe, a more practical model. Then, you can buy the items (if you can)! It’s a beautiful thing.

This first shoe, the Sedara, is made of silk and satin, with a “huge diamante buckle.” $630.

The second shoe, the Nolita, was “inspired by the scallops on the edge of a napkin on a terrace in Sicily.” Captivating! $545.

The best year-round accessory of today is a beautiful, white smile. I am one of the millions on the hunt for whiter teeth. My favorite whitening toothpaste - and favorite toothpaste ever - is Crest Whitening Expressions Vanilla Mint. It tastes just like a tic tac! It used to be hard for me to enjoy brushing, finding most pastes bitter tasting, now dental care is a treat. As for restults, I notice a whiter shade to my teeth every two weeks. I’d pair this toothpaste with a strip - soon to be tested, I’ll let you know what I like!

If you’ve got dry, itchy feet that can’t be helped by moisturizer, you may have a form of athlete’s foot. Don’t freak out over that notion, just heal it. Lamisil’s Athlete’s Foot Cream (for women) cures the itchy, dry, scaly, cracking or burning heels and feet can get. Get this product at your local drug store and you’ll be ready for summer’s fabulous sandals!

Coach Marnie Espadrille

Coach makes some of the most-Spring-Summer-in styles of sandals. They’re not badly-priced designer shoes. They’re pretty cute, and they’re not ALL cloaked in Signature Cs, if that holds you back. These Marnie Espadrilles ($140) will make your feet and lower legs look like princess’s.

My favorite (wedge) is the Ladybug Wedge ($200). I’m someone who hates wedges, but these win me over with their cute detailing. They look GREAT on the side view in person.

Not too bad of a shoe section for a handbag designer! I’ll have to keep featuring Coach’s shoes in the future.

I found these stylish Royal Elastics sneakers in Glamour. They’re called Eivissa Textile. They’re the cutest by the brand, and one of the cutest pairs of sneakers around. You can wear these and feel a bit more stylish than in most sneakers, while still getting the comfort. (Don’t forget “Not Socks!” found at Old Navy stores.)
