Indigo by Clarks - Penelope Review

Indigo by Clarks - Penelope (Grey/Blue/Earth Suede) - Women's

Indigo by Clarks - Penelope

Quality contrast flower design.
Supple, breathable suede and full-grain leather uppers provide instant comfort.
Leather covered foam footbed wicks away moisture, keeping your feet cool and dry.
Conforms to the foot, providing a custom fit.
Durable slip resistant 3 color rubber outsole provides stability and long term wearability.
8″ shaft height and 11″ calf circumference
2 3/4″ heel.

Beautiful boot. The detail is gorgeous in person. It is very well made. When I was trying them on, I kept saying, “Is this mine?!”

The sole is truly slip-resistant. It won’t slide on the most slippery of floors.

The one major flaw in this boot is easily corrected. The sole of the heel is very hard, and since it has a high heel, the foot pushes down onto it harder than others. It is uncomfortable. The good news is that it is completely corrected by heel pads, such as Dr. Scholl’s. The foam ones (the less expensive kind) are perfect.

This boot fits perfectly (almost), very snug, along my muscular calves.

Giga Suzy Review

January 11, 2005 at 4:50 pm by Designer Ella

Giga - Suzy (Black/Beige) - Women's

I had a blister on my left little toe after a few minutes of just trying these on with outfits and taking pictures. This is a girl who has been trying on and wearing lots of new fabulous shoes lately! Not one blister before now.

The look, even, is so-so. It doesn’t look good with pants, in my opinion. It’s too pointy, and I like pointy. It’s not quite dressy enough (with pants), either. It looks pretty fab, though, with a girly outfit and mid-length skirt, which almost makes the look all worth it.

But it’s so narrow in the toes.

The sling-back is great, at least. I have discovered adjustable-strap sling-backs! Look for a different pair, though.

A good thing about this shoe is it has a nice amount of padding, I would not shy away from another Giga shoe, as long as it were not pointy. Wait, literally 95% of Giga’s shoes are pointy (and look narrow). 25% of the non-pointed shoes are ugly (to be fair, that’s one shoe). Yes, 4 non-pointy shoes.

Here is a good one of those:

Giga - Pammie (Zebra) - Women's

Complete with the adjustable sling back!

If you do like these shoes, though, and the narrow works on you, AND you like heels.. look at these.. they make me swoon. I love the bow placement. (That’s another good variation on the bow!)

Giga - Sam (Black/Beige) - Women's

Another note: Notice the holes, no rain walking for these shoes!

Discovering a Brand: Gabriella Rocha (Kitty)

January 11, 2005 at 12:55 pm by Designer Ella

Gabriella Rocha - Kitty (Fuchsia Leather) - Women's

Gabriella Rocha - Kitty

This was the first shoe that struck me by Gabriella Rocha. And they are now my fave shoe brand, most of the shoes are stunning, comfortable enough to actually wear, and they’re all affordable. Call me something dirty, but I like shoes I can actually buy and walk in. But what should matter beyond a high-designer label is that her shoes really are interesting, attractive and unique.

The shoe pictured above - Kitty - is the first heel I really liked while first browsing Zappos, despite the fact that I do not wear heels and I can’t fathom how I could wear one without a back, I slightly considered buying this shoe.

It has flair with the ribboning that is a bow, but doesn’t completely look like it. Variations in a shoe wardrobe is good! You can’t have every shoe with the same bow.

This shoe I chose is definitely different, and I think for a girl of a certain sassy, free personality.

I will be featuring more Gabriella Rocha shoes.

Steve Madden Bling

January 11, 2005 at 12:39 pm by Designer Ella

Steve Madden - Bling (Purple Fabric) - Women's

Steve Madden Bling

This shoe is certainly worth it’s title in that it is worth a lot of shoe-adoration. It’s not sparkly or quite shiny enough for the title, but that is a good thing, isn’t it?

Fabulous tweed-look “gathered” leather. FABULOUS jewel-like pin. All in this rich purple, with shiny interior. Yes, that IS a 4″ dramatic stiletto heel. And a dramatic squared-off ultra-point toe, to boot. The ultimate in high fashion.

And the black is exquisite!

Steve Madden - Bling (Black Fabric) - Women's

You simply and literally MUST click on those images to see the larger pics, and when on that website, see the even larger pics! These shoes are to-die!

(Also in leopard.)

This shoe is on sale for 32% off, $56.90.
