Kiss Me, Stace’s 1st Birthday!
December 17, 2005 by Designer EllaKiss Me, Stace turns 1 year old, today! (And we’re still trendy!) Check out the first couple days of posting!
Technically, I didn’t start promoting the blog until the 18th of December, but I posted two entries on December 17th, 2004. It was right around this end-of-finals time, and I had some shoe obsession to outlet!
I honestly wanted to feature some pics of “preety” shoes, promote a shoe-themed shop (which didn’t work out), and join affiliate programs to sweeten the pot. I didn’t really plan much ahead. What started out as simple posts, focusing heavily on products and endorsements (I rarely even do reviews, anymore, I miss those little shoes as “stars!”), turned into an outlet for my writing, and a serious career plan. Why didn’t I think of putting two handbags together and using my writing talent, then? I don’t know! But today it is a hope for an actual job without the boss or the early mornings. I’m difficult in those matters!
To begin the celebration, I’m going to take a mouse-scroll down memory screen!
- First of all, I don’t know how perfectionist-me let this happen, but I allowed a lot of typos in my first month of blogging, and I do apologize! How embarrassing!
- I must say, I pointed out that Urban Outfitters Embellished Flats are irregularly shaped, but I consistently see other blogs posting about them, to my chagrin. Check out the post!
- I’d like to mention that I did get to finally purchase that Herringbone & Pink Kitty Pet Flat from Delia’s! I don’t get much use out of them, although they are fairly comfy, and I have plenty of time! (Excitement for Spring!)
- People are constantly searching for Colorful Printed Boots, which is a nice little accomplishment for me.
- One of my favorite early entries is this blending of Nine West Shoes and Accessories, probably for it’s dazzling eye-candy factor. (Oh, but when you read the copy, it’s littered with mistakes. But oh! I was always so energetic!!)
- And by the end of January, I’d already started to find a voice, with ad-copy phrases with literary twists, like “a dance with glamour” to describe an evening bag in Silver and Sparkle Bags. (Wonderful eye candy, too!)
And that takes us through just about a month of our first posts. Yet, there’s more to come for this party!
