Katrina’s Lost Victims: The Pets
Some of the worst and most cruel tales of victims of Hurricane Katrina belong to the pets–in many cases they are literally the lost victims-the dogs, cats, pets left behind.
Read stories of animals from the disaster struck areas on AOL. Evacuees Distraught Over Lost Pets It is too much for me to even read myself, without losing my sanity.
Please consider making a donation to the ASPCA’s (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) Disaster Relief Fund.
Also, if you are a great doggie/kitty mama or papa, consider donating your own self and time to the care-taking of pets in evacuee shelters across the nation. (Contact your local government.)
