Heather Mills McCartney Tells J. Lo, Fur is a Don’t!
September 14, 2005 by Designer EllaMrs. Heather Mills McCartney stormed the offices of Jennifer Lopez’s clothing line, (newly christened) Sweet Face, with some anti-fur pamphlets and a graphic DVD, a news crew, and a lot of attitude. Paul’s wife also unveiled her new PETA Campaign poster (posing with pet dog, Oliver, a terrier) at the Bryant Park Tents for New York Fashion Week.
Heather stated that Lopez appeared shocked–in mock, childish naiveté–when hearing that the process in practice for killing animals is brutal.
Famed advertising expert, Donny Deutsch, applauded Mrs. McCartney, saying it was a very smart move, “It can’t backfire.” He thinks other celebrities should pay cautious attention now, as to not appear insensitive.
Ella says, I hope designers themselves will listen to this move and feel some responsibility in matters of animal abuse.
