Alexandre the Exorbitant
September 18, 2005 by Designer Ella
This frock is a prime example of the truly terrible. What is there to say about this shape that I haven’t before? Model, Jeisa, looks a bit like a doll atop a frosty birthday cake.
And just for fun; a little silly observation:

There was a little theme of stand-out Barbie boobs. (With the humorous light with which Herchcovitch presented his line, we need a break from a strict review.)
Overall, the collection is wild, and seemingly not meant to be taken (worn) at face value (as presented). Singular items are wearable and even finely cut. Certain artistic presentations were all show, or layered on, clashing, for a “wow” effect. Surprisingly, it is the rare piece that is completely unwearable by the rational public (as low as one to three). Critics should ease off of Herchcovitch, especially ones who complain about a season lacking in color or excitement. Take it when you get your request, his collection is fun and with good humor. At least from that, I can assume Alexandre is ready for any review to come his way. He’s poised himself in a great spot, actually, to get a lot of press—and they say that’s always good.
