The Spotlight on Celebrity Fashion

July 14, 2005 by Designer Ella

I’ve been hard at work on mostly technical-improvements of the blogs, and I have a lot of work left to do. It breeds lack of entries, but I’m sure you understand.

I also opened up a completely new kind of site for Lipped Media, a part-blog-gallery fashion site focusing on celebrities; The Spotlight. (How Not to Dress in The Spotlight)

I was inspired by recent releases of music videos, and just had to start it (that’s me). I will be working with other people on this site, but they haven’t officially begun, yet. It’s all exciting.

The Spotlight’s still very new, so it’s kind of bare (don’t you love pure-blogs, start ‘em, post, and you’re public). But there’s still a nice amount to browse through for a visit.

I’ve also been working on posts for this blog, but there’s some more work to go into them, and it’s late, I’m tired, and the Red Sox are playing the Yankees. (And yes, I’ll still be working on my new project, the celebrity focus is so mindless.) :-P

Spotlight sounds good, I’ll check it out. Do you happen to know of blogs that have photos of real people wearing real outfits? I’m thinking of a ‘fashion on the streets of NY’ or something like that. I’ve been thinking about starting one for Seattle but there’s not exactly a ton of material to work with here…!

Thank you, Mahalie.

I think that kind of content would be neat on a blog. And I often see fabulous people in malls, etc. and wish to take a picture with my camera phone. It’d be like, “You look fabulous, I want to feature you on my site!” Click.

But not really, obviously you have to get their permission, and they might think you are some weirdo and your site is a little nothing fetish thing. Ha.

If you’re a great speech-marketer type, I think it would have such a cool payout on a site, though. I’m sorry about your city’s lack of fashionistas! I always see a lot of cool people around Boston.

Thanks for visiting!
