Manolo Blahnik Magical Transformations
April 19, 2005 by Designer EllaManolo Blahnik of the Week: # 2
I’m mesmerized by Manolo Blahnik’s drawings. On Style.com, you can actually see the transformation from the fairy tale of the illustrations to the actual shoe, a more practical model.
Then, you can buy the items (if you can)! It’s a beautiful thing.
This first shoe, the Sedara, is made of silk and satin, with a “huge diamante buckle.” $630.
The second shoe, the Nolita, was “inspired by the scallops on the edge of a napkin on a terrace in Sicily.” Captivating! $545.
