Lip Color to Whiten Teeth!

February 6, 2005 by Designer Ella

A blue tone in your lip gloss or color will help whiten teeth.

Glamour gave the nod of best tooth whitening lip stick to Maybelline Forever Metallic Lites in Rose Radiance. The style comes in a twist-up stick and pencil varieties. $8 at drugstores. This tone is rich and elegant, I will definitely pick one up for myself.

A great lip gloss, if you like the shade, is Sue Devitt Nantucket Sheer Fuschia. $18, but out-of-stock currently, at Sephora.

Harrods Girl Says:

Just wondering, will blue toned lip color make one look like they are cold or unhealthy?
PS. Thanks for the birthday comment!

Ella Says:

It doesn’t look blue, but rather rose or pink that leans toward the blue scale over the pure red. Like fuschia. It has a lot of blue in it, but is very pretty. Even the rose, with a hint of blue, but very sophisticated or suited for a night out. Again, no blue lips.

You’re welcome, many good presents to you. And gift cards!

A Touch of Style Says:

I have very yellow skin tones so naturally gravitated toward peaches and corals, but you are right… the rose shades do make a difference to the whiteness of your teeth. I often mix a bit of rose into the coral and no one knows the difference, but same end result.
