Dr. Scholl’s Snuggle Comfort Update

December 26, 2004 by Designer Ella

Dr. Scholl's - Snuggle (Leopard) - All Women's Sale Items

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

I got used to the side hole, NOT A PROBLEM. While the first day I wore them for two hours of heavy duty cleaning and they’d had enough. I wore them ALL day Christmas Day and I felt GREAT! GREAT shoe!

They’re perfect for feeling comfy, like in a slipper, but looking more dessed than that. Use caution when choosing an outfit. I wore my black rhinestoned sweater with tan corduroy pants. They looked perfect.

I would not walk with them along stones… or in Boston’s Quincy Market. (If you don’t know it, it is lined with large stones that I ALWAYS hate walking on.)

Webcam shoes pic!!!

December 26, 2004 by Designer Ella

I got my webcam! I went pic-happy! It’s so late and I’ve got to sleep, but here’s a quick pic for the road..

My first webcam shoes pic!

Yes, my mirror’s broken. And it has stickers on it. I’ve had it since I was very little.

Tomorrow is packing for my fabulous trip! And then a bit of a break from this blog, but don’t desert me, I shall be back! And I’ll try to get The Fab Best Friend to understand my need to blog here just a little bit. :-D But if I don’t post after I wake up in the morning (and omg I should have been in bed long ago).. au’reviour! Wish me luck walking all over in my new shoes!

New Marc Jacobs flat

December 25, 2004 by Designer Ella

NEW Marc Jacobs Patent Leather Flat!

New Marc Jacobs black patent leather flat.

These are fabulous! These would be a good replacement for my Delia’s return shoes, if they weren’t so expensive.

I want to find a suitable pair of fabulous black shoes (flat or kitten heel).

My Search for Great Boots

December 24, 2004 by Designer Ella

I have been made aware that boots are a must. All I have now is my ugg-like winter boots (2 pairs, one long, one short).

What I want is:

1) A mildly high black boot with a short but thinner (kitten?) heel. A comfortable pointy-toe would be great.

2) A high tan boot. Suede would be good. 11 1/2″ shaft would be perfect.

I would like one of the boots to be high and warm, so that I can wear it in slightly chilly weather with a knee-length skirt.

I just watched a t.v. show in which a girl wore high tan boot and they look SO good.

So, here goes. Here are my serious possibilities…

wink* - Kiss (Black) - Women's

I like this one because it is a warm winter boot and also black and fashionable. It is not THAT fashionable, but for the winter, it’s enough. My purple and wine ugg-like boots are just so different.

Only $46!

Most of the comments on Zappos were very positive except for one extremely negative review. What’s a shoe hound to do? What do you think? Comment.

Next:

Naturalizer - Sleet (Black Shiny) - Women's

Naturalizer Sleet. These would double as rain boots. And they are more fashionable, with a heel. Not too high. A thick heel. Alas, there are no really short heels in a thinner look, aside from one boot that is all but sold out (one size).

It’s synthetic. Would the shiny look be good?

Only $54!

Naturalizer seems to be a great boot company. They have “widened toe box[es].” Me like.

And now on to the Tan Suede:

Naturalizer - Dagan (Tan Suede) - Women's

Real suede. 12″ shaft. Wide, round toe box! 1 1/4″ heel.

$73.

These are great. I may get these.

I was re-thinking this, and would tall boots with a mid-lenth skirt actually look good on my short body?

I need some comments on this one.

EDIT:

I’ve looked at a couple of posts ago’s post (he he) and THOSE are the boots that are perfect and I must buy before the sale ends. Pleeeeeeeaaaaaase last-in-my-size till Sunday!

Ugg Alternative!

December 23, 2004 by Designer Ella

Steve Madden - Boomm (Natural Suede) - Women's

Steve Madden Boomm.

These are the perfect Ugg alternative boots for the high fashionista who hates a boxy or stuffy look. Rich, soft suede with shearling trim detail; better than the inside-out look!

These are for the SERIOUS fashionista as this stiletto boot has a 3 1/2″ heel! A point-toe completes this look.

The search for the basic straight khaki skirt..

December 23, 2004 by Designer Ella

Delia's Bias Twill Skirt

Bias Twill Skirt By Delia’s.

This skirt is great. Not too long, not too short. Great color and line to match any outfit (although plain, doesn’t punch it up, need SHOES). Every girl should have a skirt like this.

The problem is that this particular skirt has a thick front closure. It sticks out, and leaves a bulky bump with most tops. One would need a thicker top or concealing layers with this skirt. Pass on this skirt, and try to mostly find skirts that zip up the side. Some skirts like that will be bulky on the side, but usually they will work.

Keep on searching!

Nine West Boot Sale!

December 23, 2004 by Designer Ella

Nine West Taija boot

Nine West has a boot sale! The price shown IS the sale price, and these; my favorite pair, are $97.30.

I like these, medium-high, not too high heel, but enough heel to have the style, black and with a pointy-toe.

These are the Aija. Originally $139! 1″ kitten heel.

I hope to try these on for a review before the sale ends, but with the season, I’m so busy.

More lovelies from Nine West:

Nine West Akina Pump

The Akina! She is lovely! That gorgeous orange is sold out from the online store… better get to the mall! That pink is fabulous, too. A pointy-toe hot-pink pump is a must. And this modest 1 3/4″ heel should make for a comfortable shoe, as well.

The croco has a snake-skin look, how hot! (Black is plain leather.)

Look at the pink and that croco!

And I love brooches, and this one is my favorite:

Starburst brooch
