My Search for Great Boots
December 24, 2004 by Designer EllaI have been made aware that boots are a must. All I have now is my ugg-like winter boots (2 pairs, one long, one short).
What I want is:
1) A mildly high black boot with a short but thinner (kitten?) heel. A comfortable pointy-toe would be great.
2) A high tan boot. Suede would be good. 11 1/2″ shaft would be perfect.
I would like one of the boots to be high and warm, so that I can wear it in slightly chilly weather with a knee-length skirt.
I just watched a t.v. show in which a girl wore high tan boot and they look SO good.
So, here goes. Here are my serious possibilities…
I like this one because it is a warm winter boot and also black and fashionable. It is not THAT fashionable, but for the winter, it’s enough. My purple and wine ugg-like boots are just so different.
Only $46!
Most of the comments on Zappos were very positive except for one extremely negative review. What’s a shoe hound to do? What do you think? Comment.
Next:
Naturalizer Sleet. These would double as rain boots. And they are more fashionable, with a heel. Not too high. A thick heel. Alas, there are no really short heels in a thinner look, aside from one boot that is all but sold out (one size).
It’s synthetic. Would the shiny look be good?
Only $54!
Naturalizer seems to be a great boot company. They have “widened toe box[es].” Me like.
And now on to the Tan Suede:
Real suede. 12″ shaft. Wide, round toe box! 1 1/4″ heel.
$73.
These are great. I may get these.
I was re-thinking this, and would tall boots with a mid-lenth skirt actually look good on my short body?
I need some comments on this one.
EDIT:
I’ve looked at a couple of posts ago’s post (he he) and THOSE are the boots that are perfect and I must buy before the sale ends. Pleeeeeeeaaaaaase last-in-my-size till Sunday!
